Abstract

The aim of this article is to examine the H-1B visa program: how it came to be, its transformations over time, its diversity, its present characteristics, and the threats it has posed for diverse population sectors, along with president Trump’s contradictory policy regarding the hire of qualified foreign workers, mainly through H-1B visas, which have been especially criticized since their creation in 1990.
