La Cooperación en la educación en el ámbito de la ZICOSUR
Abstract
This article aims to answer the question of whether the actions carried out in higher education in the Area of Integration of Central-west South America (Zicosur) have created or increased social capital there. Zicosur is made up of 70 sub-national bodies with different institutional capabilities. It promotes, among other issues, cooperation in education through proposals about students, teachers, and researchers’ international mobility; the establishment of graduate educational programs; and research in areas related to integration processes. The study is approached through different theoretical ideas involving integration, cooperation, and social capital.
