Abstract
En el análisis de cualquier discurso público no se debe pasar por alto la tarea básica de distinguir el tipo de opiniones afirmadas por los "oradores". Las hay sobre lo factual y sobre lo factible, tanto en términos de acontecimientos como de acciones humanas, asi como sobre el valor de estas dimensiones, y sobre el proceso de la toma de decisiones. Este deslinde es importante porque cada tipo de opinión se enfrenta a exigencias argumentativas distintas. Se debe además sopesar, según sean estas opiniones, su relevancia e incumbencia retóricas dentro del debate. Estas responsabilidades elementales en el análisis retórico se ilustran en este artículo con el discurso público sobre la migración entre México y Estados Unidos.
